Kitchen & Laundry Remodel

Melrose, MA

This was a space that was totally transformed with many new features.  Gutting the existing kitchen down to its studs, our team removed a back entry hall and door to add square footage to the space. We opened a wall separating the kitchen and dining room for access directly to the dining room, and closed off an existing opening in the back entry mudroom to incorporate a first floor laundry space.

We removed the space's existing flooring and framing, and reframed the level with new support columns in the basement. We opened the rear exterior wall and reframed for a large custom picture window and two double hung units on each side.  We installed custom, powder blue cabinets in the main kitchen with a black granite top, dark mahogany cabinets for a peninsula base with a huge slab of marble for the top. Other features include custom trim work throughout the space to match the homes period, custom back entry storage unit, slate flooring and a refinished stained glass pocket door in the mudroom, repurposed stained hardwood floors, tile backsplash, pot filler, under mount LED cabinet lighting, and a farmers sink with a hands-free faucet.
